“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Parenting Summit: You’re Not Alone // Second Sundays, 11am
Parenting is one of the greatest callings and one of the hardest. We’ve launched a monthly Parenting Summit designed to encourage your heart and equip you with practical tools for raising your children. Connect with other parents who understand the journey, be refreshed through shared stories, and grow in your role with hope and confidence—whether you’re parenting toddlers, teens, or anywhere in between. This gathering takes place every second Sunday at 11am in Room D105.

Child Dedication // May 10th, 9am & 11am
Family Milestones mark key transitions in a child’s life, from birth to graduation. These moments give families a chance to pause, celebrate, and receive encouragement for walking in faith through each season. Child dedication is a special opportunity to commit to raising your child in faith and invite your church family to walk alongside you. To participate on May 10h, please plan to attend a required preparation class on May 3rd at 10:15am. If you’re interested, please sign up below—we look forward to celebrating with you!

Attention 5th Grade Families!

The transition to middle school is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming for some kids. Changes in academics, social dynamics, and outside influences can create uncertainty. The goal of Calvary Kids is for 5th graders to step into middle school—and Calvary MSM—feeling prepared, confident, and ready to walk like Jesus by Loving God, Loving Others, and Serving His World. A strong foundation in the Word of God and a clear sense of identity in Christ helps provide that confidence and stability. Below are some upcoming events you won’t want to miss!

Nerf Wars // April 29th, 7-8:30pm
5th graders are invited to take a peek at what life is like in Calvary MSM by joining in Nerf Wars! This is a one of the fun monthly events Student Ministries has designed to help students build community and a sense of belonging. This is also a great opportunity to invite a friend.

5th Grade Milestone //
Angela Perry, Calvary’s Elementary Director, will walk 5th graders through what it looks like to Love God, Love Others, and Serve His World as they enter into middle school. This will take place on April 19, April 26, May 3, and May 10 during the 11am service.

5th Grade Milestone Celebration// May 17th, 12:30-2pm
Parents are invited to join in a celebration lunch, blessing their children before they enter MSM. Please register here.

Promotion Sunday // June 7th
5th graders officially move to be a part of the MSM community, meeting every Sunday at 11am and every Wednesday during the school year from 7-8:30pm. Click here for more information about MSM.

Opportunities to Serve

Sunday Mornings // monthly
Looking for a place to serve? Join us in making a lasting impact in our kids ministry! Our classrooms are where young hearts grow in faith, and you have the chance to be a part of that incredible journey. Whether you’re leading, helping with activities, or simply offering a helping hand, your presence will make a difference. And the best part? It’s just one Sunday a month. Together, we can encourage the next generation in their walks with Jesus!

March Update

A Note from the Preschool Coordinator

Hey, Calvary Kids families!

As we move through this season of Lent, we’ll be learning about the life that Jesus lived here on earth. His life was a powerful example of how to treat one another: how to be kind, loving, and sacrificial to everyone around us.

My hope is that kids will grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and His heart for people. We want these stories to spark meaningful conversations in your families and give your family simple ways to talk about Jesus together.

One way to continue this at home is to ask your child to share the story they learned about Jesus on Sunday morning. Talk about what it tells us about his love, then ask how they might show that same love to a friend or family member.

As we walk toward Easter, I’m praying that this season would shape all of us—kids and adults alike—to look a little more like Jesus in the way we love and serve others.

Grateful to partner with you,
Amy Dresden
Preschool Coordinator

What We’re Learning this Month in Calvary Kids

Preschool-Kindergarten //

Key Question: Who is amazing?
Bottom Line:
Jesus is amazing.
Memory Verse: “We have seen amazing things today!” Luke 5:26 (NLT)

Elementary //

Theme: Upside Down—treat others the way Jesus treats you
Memory Verse: :
Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves. Philippians 2:3 (NIrV)

Calvary Kids Stamp Card //

To encourage Calvary Kids to embody the core values of “Respect God, Respect Others, Respect Yourself,” we are excited to introduce the Calvary Kids Stamp Card! When a leader observes your child demonstrating respectful behavior towards God, others, or themselves, or when they actively participate, they will receive a stamp on their card. At pick-up, students can turn in their card to earn a prize from our prize box!
