Be Still | Jan 6, 2022
This week we joined together for a beautiful message from Pastor Jay Kim. In our valley, we know all too well how easy it is to get caught up in the busyness of life. Work, kids, friends, life. The feeling of stress, anxiety, burnout, seems to be everywhere. And if we're honest, it's not just around us, it's in us. In Psalm 46, God offers us the invitation to "Be Still". The invitation is not about not moving. Far better than that, God offers us the invitation to stop striving, to stop trying to leverage control over what we can't control, to stop believing the lie that a busy life is a productive and successful life. God offers us an invitation to find rest and peace in Him, to Be Still in Him, to release the pressure and the lie that in achieving we can find rest or value. As you enter the new year, what would it look like to eliminate hurry and be still in Him? We encourage you to take time and sit with God. Seek him in prayer and ask God to speak to your heart. Questions you can ask: 1) God, what does it look like to eliminate hurry & be still each day? 2) Is there something you want me to stop doing? 3) Is there something you'd like me to start doing?
